The Men Behind The Search For Sugar Man | YourLMG, February 2013
It was back in the day when the internet was still in its
infancy – no fancy fonts or graphics, bells or whistles.
The project was fuelled by a love of mostly old South
African rock music, and the story behind it is inextricably
interwoven with the search by these two men for a musician widely believed to be dead. As it turned out, this
musician was very much alive and is now the subject of
an Oscar-nominated documentary.
“It all started with Rodriguez, that’s how I met Brian,”
says Stephen, Sugar to his friends. “If it wasn’t for that,
neither of us would be where we are today,” they agree.
