Happy Birthday Rodriguez!! From Aotearoa New Zealand. It would have also been my Dear Dad’s 80th birthday this year on June 2nd He was also an incredible musician – keys, Wurlitzer Organ and Violin mostly. A true maestro much like yourself. and, just about as humble as you too. Funny that. I absolutely adore your music, Leoneard Cohen like style and have just watched “Searching for Sugarman’ discovered the story behind it. How’s that!! I had no idea when I first heard you 9 years ago in a Vintage clothing store here in Waihi Beach NZ you weren’t as famous as everyone else in the 1960’s. I do think whoever profited from your record sales in South Africa gets their karma somehow. I think that’s the way you’d have it – or leave it as it were, anyway. I am also a songwriter who doesn’t seek fame.. Much inspired by you. Enjoy the rest of your years on stage and bringing the best music to the people! Arohamai, Nina from New Zealand
Happy Birthday! I’m a 53 year old hospice RN. In my twenties I worked for seven years as a radio DJ. My first show was “The Rock n Roll Casserole”. How did I not know about you? I feel so blessed to know now. Thank you so much ❤️❤️
