Zig At The Gig Podcast

I hope all is well with you and yours.
My Name is Dave Deitke. I am a full-time musician/ special needs music educator/ music therapist MT-BC, NMT from Cleveland, OH, and I run a podcast called Zig At The Gig.

I started this podcast to promote a non-profit art gallery called Negative Space. Since the shutdown, I have refocused my efforts and talked with professionals in various fields (art, music, literature). I have been using bits from the podcast interviews to help engage my online students.

I am a massive fan of Rodriguez’s work!
Rodriguez’s music and story are truly inspiring.
His documentary Searching For Sugarman had a profound impact on me. It illustrated how success should be perceived and how truly moving art will always find its way.

I would like to interview Rodriguez about his musical journey, musical/songwriting practices, approaches, and philosophy.

It would be an absolute honor and privilege to interview Rodriguez.

Some of my most recent guests have been:
Victor Wooten, Vashti Bunyan, Pete Francis (Dispatch), Mark Cousins (Film Director), Kenny Werner, King Yellowman, Mike Watt (Minutemen, Iggy Pop and the Stooges), David J (Bauhaus), Joe Lally (Fugazi), Bill Stevenson (Descendents/ Black Flag), David Thomas (Pere Ubu), Richard Lloyd (Television), Adele Bertei, Lydia Lunch, Kira Roessler (Black Flag, Dos), John Langford, (Mekons, Wako Brothers), Zander Schloss (Circle Jerks, Joe Strummer), Mark Stewart (The Pop Group), Matthew Roads (Tropidelic), Micki Free, Kevin Eastman (co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Dana Colley (Morphine), Ian MacKaye (Fugazi, Minor Threat, Dischord Records), Richie Ramone (The Ramones), Doyle (The Misfits), John Doe (X), Victor DeLorenzo (Violent Femmes), and Robben Ford.

Dearly appreciate your time!
Thanks
Dave Deitke
