Fernando Albiar Jr writes – “In ’69 my dad was graduating high school. He was a fan of Bob Dylan, Neal Young, Van Morrison. In 2012, Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He was depressed and my mom would say his problem was that he stopped listening to music….until he came across the Sugarman story and documentary. He bought a CD and soon she would complain that he is always listening to Sixto. I love that this music brings him joy. We had the chance to see him live at the Greek in LA in May 2014. We loved it! PS: My dad was a carpenter for over 30 years.”
