According to an article in the recent Classic Rock magazine (issue 134), San Diego Psychedelic Prog Rockers took their name from South African band, Freedoms Children 1970 album ‘Astra’.
Astra’s debut album is called ‘The Weirding’ and the Roger Dean inspired artwork is by Arik Moonhawk Roper.
This San Diego band is not to be confused with Italian Prog Rockers who recently released an album titled ‘From Within’.
My thoughts and opinions on both these albums by two different bands with the same name to follow soon, after I have had a chance to listen to them.
